Begin Your Adventure With Our 3-Course Breakfast

Fresh and Local

Our guests enjoy a hearty and delicious freshly prepared 3 course breakfast each morning. We proudly use many local ingredients in the preparation of our breakfasts supporting our neighboring farms and growers. We also grow some of our own herbs and vegetables to use in many of our breakfast dishes.

We are happy to accommodate vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerant and other dietary restrictions to the best of our ability.  We do request a minimum of 24 hours notification for special requests.

The coffee is ready in the Dining Room at 7:30 every morning.  Manor guests come down for a delicious cup of freshly ground coffee and a sweet surprise while breakfast is being prepared.

At 8:30 we serve a plated breakfast in the Dining Room or on the enclosed screened patio, weather permitting.  We will have a private table set for you and the number of guests in your party.

Our breakfasts include a fruit dish as a second course followed by a hot entree, which may be Louisiana style bread pudding, Skillet Sensation, or breakfast enchiladas. If your lucky, Dana’s famous biscuits will be on the menu. Muffins contain flour products from Wade’s Mill and farm fresh eggs are delivered each week from Redbud Ridge Farm, both located in Raphine. Sausage, ham, and bacon compliment the meal using the meats from our local providers at Buffalo Creek Beef in Lexington. Baked goods are either made from scratch or may come from local bakers when we visit the weekly farmers’ markets. We purchase local cheeses from the Cheese Shop in Stuarts Draft. In short, we do everything we can to keep our breakfast foods local!

We’re especially proud of our coffee at Steeles Tavern Manor. We source our freshly roasted beans from Virginia Commonwealth Roasters.  They usually roast our beans the day we place an order and ship them to us the next day…you can’t beat that for freshness!  We order only whole beans (they stay fresher longer than ground coffee) and grind our beans daily just before we start brewing.  In addition to freshly ground and brewed drip coffee, we offer hand crafted espresso drinks to our guests.  We have a state of the art Profitec 700 espresso machine dialed in for the perfect shot of espresso.  Lattes, cappuccinos, doppios, long blacks, or flat whites…that’s how how we speak coffee here.

When making your reservation, please tell us if you have any dietary restrictions, food allergies, or foods you would like us to avoid. We do our best to accommodate your needs.
