Food Trucks have become the exciting culinary choice of millennials. When you gather 24 Food Trucks and 6 Virginia Breweries, it turns into a party! Come to the Virginia Food Truck Battle & Beer Competition on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Frontier Culture Museum to enjoy a wide variety of foods, taste some great locally-made craft beers, and help The Madee Project. The Madee Project is a non-profit organization that gives help to pediatric cancer patients and their families in Augusta County VA and the surrounding areas.
This is only the second year for this event but it has more than doubled the number of Food Trucks! The Frontier Museum is a wonderful host site where you can learn some Shenandoah Valley history while you enjoy your delectable delights.
There will be 24 trucks set-up in 3 zones (8 trucks in each zone.) In each zone, one winner is voted on by the attendees. These Fan Favorites will then be judged by a panel of chefs from Charlottesville, Richmond, and the Shenandoah Valley. The winning Food Truck gets bragging rights as the winning moving culinary delight in VA for 2016.
There will also be six Virginia breweries competing for Fan Favorite Brewery. They will be positioned in the 3 zones as well.
Four bands will be playing for your entertainment for the day. Kids games and activities will be offered free to keep the younger children occupied. There will also be two wineries, a soft drink tent, kettle corn vendor, and ice cream trucks (all noncompeting).
VIP Tickets ($35 in advance; $40 at the door) allow you to enter the grounds and start the voting at 11:45 AM. General Admission Tickets ($10 in advance; $15 at the Door) will allow you to enter at 2:00pm. The Food Trucks will be serving up great flavors until 6:00pm.
This is your chance to experience this HOT trend in food while helping a good cause! Come out if you’re a “foodie” (or not!) and try some dishes from the best Food Trucks in Virginia.
