|A beautiful spot to enjoy a glass of wine.|
If you’re looking for the place to taste some delicious Virginia wines and gourmet foods, spend some quality time with your furry friend or even Geocache, then Lexington Valley Vineyard is the place for you! We visited this beautiful vineyard a few weeks ago and knew we had to share it with of our friends and guests.
|A selection of Lexington Valley Vineyard’s|
Lexington Valley is a new family owned and operated Virginia farm winery offering handcrafted wines from French-American hybrid varietals. We particularly enjoyed tasting their winning Vidal Blanc on their porch overlooking the beautiful vineyards. Every second Friday of the month from May through October, Lexington Valley allows its guests to come with their dogs! “Wine and Wags” days allow visitors to stroll the grounds with their dogs and bring or purchase picnic baskets to enjoy. And for the adventurers out there, Lexington Valley even has its own geocache!
ATTENTION FOLLOWERS: In honor of our wonderful trip to Lexington Valley Vineyard, we bought an extra bottle of the Vidal Blanc to give to one of our lucky guests! The first guest with an upcoming fall reservation at Alpine Hideaway to call us (800-895-6121) and mention this blog post (“Eat, Drink and Be Merry”) will receive the Vidal Blanc bottle in their cabin upon arrival…let the merriment begin!
Even if you’re not planning a trip to our beautiful cottages anytime soon, we do recommend you check out this vineyard…and soon! They close for the season at the end of October, so prepare your tongue for some tasty sips, leash your dog and get ready to explore one of the most unique vineyards we’ve ever toured.
